Banking Court V Karachi Summons Faizan Masood in UBL Recovery Suit No. 182 of 2026

Before Dr. Hatim Aziz Solangi, Judge of Banking Court No. V at Karachi, Block-48-C, Pakistan Secretariat, Saddar, Karachi: Suit No. 182 of 2026, United Bank Limited versus Faizan Masood son of Masood Ahmed.

United Bank Limited, the plaintiff, has its registered office at the 13th Floor, UBL Building, Jinnah Avenue, Blue Area, Islamabad, and its head office at the 8th Floor, State Life Building No. 1, I. I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi.

The plaintiff has instituted a suit for recovery of Rs. 2,406,175.80 along with cost of funds under Section 9 of the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, No. XLVI of 2001.

The defendant is summoned to appear before the court on 3 December 2026 at 8:30 a.m. and to apply for leave to defend the suit within 30 days of service of the summons. In the event of default, after expiry of that period the plaintiff will be entitled to obtain a decree with costs and such markup or interest, if any, as the court may order.

The application for leave to defend must be a written statement containing a summary of the substantial questions of law and fact for which, in the defendant's opinion, evidence needs to be recorded, in accordance with Section 10 of the ordinance.
