MTI Mardan Experiential Registrar Jobs in Medical and Surgical Specialties

Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Mardan invites applications from qualified candidates for merit-based appointments as Experiential Registrars on a two-year, non-extendable contract.

Available Specialties

For Accident & Emergency, candidates with FCPS in Cardiology, General Surgery, General Medicine, Orthopedics or Neurosurgery may also apply. Preference will be given to candidates with FCPS in Emergency Medicine.

Eligibility and Contract Conditions

Applicants must hold an MBBS qualification with valid PMDC registration and must have qualified FCPS Part-II in the relevant specialty. Candidates who have completed training but have not passed FCPS are ineligible. FCPS must have been passed no more than 18 months before the closing date, as these posts are intended to help young doctors acquire the experience required by PMDC for faculty positions.

The appointment is limited to a maximum of two years, is non-extendable and carries no right to regularisation or appointment to a faculty post. Performance will be reviewed after one year. Unsatisfactory performance will lead to remedial action, and an incumbent may be removed where there is a major lack of progress.

Selection Priority

Preference will be given to doctors who are not civil servants, including those who relinquish their civil service employment before applying. Newly FCPS-qualified civil servants may be offered only the posts remaining vacant after this process. Their pay must continue to be drawn from their civil service posts, with no salary liability on MTI Mardan. Such candidates are not required to relinquish their civil service appointments.

Any attempt to approach or influence the selection committee will automatically disqualify the applicant. The selection committee's decision will be final, subject to approval by the Board of Governors. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview. No correspondence concerning the process will be entertained after the final decision.

Terms and Conditions

Service will be governed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institution Act, 2015, as amended, and the MTI Regulations. Employees will also be subject to all applicable regulations, rules, policies, directives and decisions issued or approved by the Policy Board from time to time.

Appointed candidates may be deputed to any shift and must submit an accepted resignation from existing employment with any local or overseas entity, including government civil service. Candidates will be disqualified or terminated if any perjury is found in their documentation or credentials at any stage.

The institution reserves the right to increase or decrease the positions or cancel a position. The minority and disability quota will be treated according to government policy. No TA/DA will be admissible for the test/interview.

Send the duly completed form with the required attested documents, including degree/diploma, experience certificate, CNIC, domicile and two photographs, through a registered courier service to the Office of the Director Human Resources, Mardan Medical Complex, MTI Mardan. Mention the post applied for on the envelope.

Applications must reach the office within 15 days of publication of this announcement. Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements by the last date for receipt of applications. A separate application is required for each position. Incomplete application forms will not be entertained.
