Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) invites applications for one (1) Resident Shariah Board Member (RSBM) at its Head Office, Islamabad. This is a contract appointment for 3 years (extendable).

Key Qualifications	Shahadat ul Alamiya (Dars-e-Nizami) or similar recognized Madaris degree plus a separate Bachelor's degree (other than Madaris degree); OR Postgraduate degree in Kulliyat/Usul al-Din, or LLM (Shariah) or equivalent from a recognized university; OR Members of Shariah Boards/Committees of internationally reputed organizations.
Experience	At least 4 years of issuing Shariah rulings including specialization (Takhassus fil Iftaa); OR at least 5 years post-qualification experience in Islamic banking & finance research/development. Preference for candidates with 3+ years as Shariah Advisor or Member/Deputy Member of a Shariah Board in an Islamic Financial Institution. Strong understanding of banking, Islamic finance, Fiqh al-Muamalat, Usul al-Fiqh and Shariah methodologies.
Key Responsibilities	Provide Shariah explanations/clarifications to management and staff on products, documents, processes and operational Shariah matters in light of SB decisions/fatawa. Guide Shariah Compliance Department (SCD) on compliance reviews and responses to client queries. Facilitate training activities and submit quarterly reports of explanations/clarifications for SB ratification.
