Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Department of Information & Public Relations) has launched a one-day mass afforestation campaign to plant 14 lakh (1.4 million) trees on 14 August 2026. Citizens, schools, community groups and public bodies are urged to take part and plant saplings across the province to support the provincial green drive.
The campaign notes that under the same initiative 10 lakh (1,000,000) trees were planted earlier on Pakistan Day, 23 March 2026.
