Issuer: Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. This corrigendum amends the original HEC advertisement inviting research proposals under the National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) for 2026–27 (original advertisement published 2026-09-06).
Key amendments notified:
1) Application Fee: The requirement to pay an application fee of Rs. 5,000/- via 1-LINK/Bill service using mobile or internet banking is hereby exempted. No application fee will be charged from applicants submitting research proposals under the current NRPU call.
2) Delayed/Unsettled NRPU Cases: The prior condition that universities with more than five (05) delayed/unsettled NRPU cases were ineligible to apply has been relaxed. All universities shall be eligible to submit research proposals under the current NRPU call, subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria and requirements prescribed in the original advertisement.
Other terms and conditions, eligibility criteria, and requirements of the original NRPU advertisement remain unchanged. This corrigendum is an integral part of the original NRPU advertisement.
