The Government of Punjab's Apni Chhat Apna Ghar housing programme has been selected for the UN‑Habitat Scroll of Honour Award 2026. The award will be presented on World Habitat Day, 2026‑10‑05, at an event in Muscat, Oman, to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
According to the announcement by the Government of Punjab and PATA, under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar initiative over 125,000 families have been relocated into their homes. The programme also includes construction of over 200,000 houses with a funding commitment of Rs. 260 billion.
