Assistant Director Mineral Development Chitral (for Licensing Authority) invites applications from contractors registered with the Directorate General Mines & Minerals, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for auction and one-year leases of minor mineral blocks in Lower Chitral on an “as is where is” basis. Auctions will be held at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Lower Chitral on 2026-10-27 at 11:00 AM (if not held, next date 2026-10-28 at 11:00 AM). Application deadline: 2026-10-23, 05:00 PM.

How to apply and key requirements:
- Eligible applicants: Individuals or firms registered with the Directorate General Mines & Minerals, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as Minor Minerals Contractors.
- Required submissions: Completed application form (fee PKR 10,000, non-refundable) and attested copies of CNIC, NTN/income tax registration, partnership deed or affidavit where applicable, and proof of deposit of the call deposit/earnest money.
- Application fee and call deposit must be deposited into the following accounts in Bank of Khyber:
• Call deposit (earnest): Account No. 0066-2008140092
• Application fee: Account No. 0066-2008209391
- Submit application and documentation to the office of the Assistant Director Mineral Development, Chitral. Last date for submission: 2026-10-23, 05:00 PM.
Additional conditions:
- Only registered contractors may participate; blacklisted/defaulting parties will not be allowed.
- Bidders must visit and inspect sites prior to auction; site information is available from the Assistant Director Mineral Development, Chitral.
- Successful bidders will be bound by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Minerals Act, 2017, relevant rules (including withholding tax, surface rent to landowners, transit challans for transportation) and any directions of competent courts or departments. The authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bid.
