National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) invites applications for the role of Executive Director / Director General to lead N@DIR (National Institute for Demographics and Identity Research). The post will establish and manage a national centre for biometrics, digital identity, registration-process research, independent testing and standards, and indigenous technology development.

| Educational Background | Master's / MS / MPhil degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Cybersecurity, Biometrics, Computer Vision, Digital Identity or a closely related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution. PhD/Doctorate preferred. Additional qualifications in biometrics, AI/ML, cybersecurity, applied cryptography or related fields advantageous. |
| Professional Experience | Minimum 15 years of relevant post-qualification experience, including substantial senior leadership experience in technology, research, engineering, biometrics, digital identity or high-assurance ICT systems. Proven experience in large R&D setup, team management, stakeholder engagement, standards, certification, prototype development and technology transfer. |
| Key Responsibilities | Provide strategic, scientific and institutional leadership for N@DIR; develop and lead national research programmes in biometrics and digital identity; oversee development and certification capability for biometric/digital-identity technologies; lead development of Pakistan-owned AFIS/ABIS, multimodal biometrics, PAD/liveness and security testing; build industry and academic partnerships; manage research grants, technology roadmap and commercialization efforts. |
