Punjab Chief Minister Stroke Program — Free TNK Thrombolysis and 40 Active Stroke Centers

Issued by the Office of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister Stroke Program provides free, time‑critical treatment for acute stroke across Punjab.

Key program features:

• 40 active stroke centres currently operating in Punjab.

• Free TNK (tenecteplase) thrombolytic therapy provided to eligible stroke patients who present within 4.5 hours of symptom onset.

• Over 500 patients have been treated and spared permanent disability through TNK therapy under the program.

• Commitment to establish stroke centres across all districts of Punjab by December 2026.

• Public awareness campaign aligned with World Stroke Day (29 October) and FAST recognition guidance (Face, Arms, Speech, Time). For emergency response call 1122. A QR code is provided for more program information and centre locations.
