District Council Hafizabad Auction of Four Shops on Five-Year Lease

District Council Hafizabad invites participation in a public auction for the rental lease of four council-owned shops in Sukheke Bazaar. The auction will take place on 18 November 2026 at 12:30 p.m. at the District Council Hafizabad office.

The lease period will run from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2031.

Each participant must deposit PKR 50,000 as refundable auction security before participating. A crossed cheque will not be accepted. Unsuccessful participants will receive their deposits back, while the successful bidder’s deposit will be adjusted against advance rent.

Persons with outstanding District Council dues are ineligible to participate. The auction committee’s decision regarding participation and auction proceedings will be final. Possession of a shop will be handed over after approval by the competent authority.

If a successful bidder fails to pay the required advance rent or complete the rental agreement, the security deposit will be forfeited to the government and the shop will be auctioned again. Rent will increase by 10% annually.

Failure to pay rent for three consecutive months will result in the shop being sealed and the security deposit being forfeited. Responsibility for damage to goods kept inside the shop will rest with the tenant.

The tenant may not sell or transfer the tenancy rights or sublet the shop. A violation will result in cancellation of the tenancy and forfeiture of the security deposit, and the tenant will be liable for losses caused to the District Council.

The Deputy Commissioner/Administrator, District Council Hafizabad, reserves the authority to approve or reject an auction bid without assigning a reason.

The tenancy will be governed by the applicable Punjab Local Government Property Rules 2018, Punjab Local Government Act 2022, relevant 2016 auction rules, and applicable government and District Council directions.
