Banking Court-IV Karachi Summons: Habib Bank Limited vs Al Madina Communication

Banking Court-IV, Karachi, before Judge Muhammad Ahsan Khan Durrani, has issued summons to the defendant in Suit No. 178 of 2026, Habib Bank Limited versus Al Madina Communication through its proprietor, Nawaz Ali S/o Usman. The court is located at Block-48/A, Pakistan Secretariat, Saddar, Karachi.

The plaintiff has instituted a suit under Section 9(1) of the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001 (XLVI of 2001), for recovery of Rs. 2,159,504.42, along with profits/rentals, cost of funds, charges and costs until realisation of the whole amount.

The defendant is summoned to obtain leave from the court to defend the suit within 30 days from the date of first service of the summons. If the defendant fails to do so, the allegations of fact in the plaint shall be deemed admitted, and the court may pass a decree in favour of the plaintiff on that basis. Leave to appear may be obtained through an application in the form of a written statement containing a summary of substantial questions of law and the facts for which evidence needs to be recorded.
