| Educational Qualifications | Master's / MS / MPhil in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Computer / Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Cybersecurity, Biometrics, Computer Vision / Digital Identity or a closely related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution. Preference for Ph.D.; additional qualifications in biometrics, AI/ML, cybersecurity, digital identity, applied cryptography or technology management are advantageous. |
| Experience & Requirements | Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience with substantial senior leadership in technology, research, engineering, biometrics or high-assurance ICT systems. Strong managerial skills, experience in large R&D setup, standards & certification, research-to-technology transfer, intellectual property and commercialization are desirable. Proven ability to lead national research programmes and multidisciplinary teams. |
| Key Responsibilities | Provide strategic and institutional leadership for N@DIR; develop and lead national research programmes in biometrics, digital identity and emerging technologies; establish testing, standards and certification capabilities; oversee development of biometric devices and platforms; build academic and industry partnerships; drive research-to-deployment and technology transfer. |
