National Bank of Pakistan invites applications for the position of GL Control Officer (OG-II) to serve as Unit Head, GL Control Unit, based in Karachi. The role sits within the Financial Control portfolio and reports to the Unit Head - GL Control Unit.

| Educational / Professional Qualification | Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan along with ACCA Qualified and/or ICMA Qualified and/or CA Part Qualified. |
| Experience | Minimum 02 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounts and/or Article Ship preferably with a financial institution and/or audit firm. Hands-on experience in handling GL accounts will be preferred. |
| Other Skills / Expertise | Understanding of business and financial acumen; good business communication, report writing and analytical skills; proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word; basic understanding of Power BI; well conversant with relevant regulatory guidelines. |
| Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities | Collect data for GL balancing and validation for review; reconcile non-balancing and non-validation GLs; compile underlying reasons for non-balancing GLs; maintain and update records of outstanding GL balancing and non-validation issues; coordinate with stakeholders for corrective action and resolution; prepare summarized reports on non-balancing and non-validation of GLs for Unit Head; prepare monthly, quarterly and annual MIS reports for GL balancing; and perform other assignments as required. |
| Assessment / Interview | Only shortlisted candidates meeting basic eligibility criteria will be invited for test and/or panel interview. |
| Employment Type | Contractual basis for three years, with possible renewal at Management discretion; selected candidates will be offered a compensation package and other benefits as per Bank's policy/rules. |
