| Experience & Skills | Minimum 20 years' professional experience with at least 5 years in senior management. Demonstrated technical knowledge of statistics, national and international economic and management skills; experience managing large databases, national statistical surveys, National Income Accounts and economic statistics; ability to analyze computer-based statistical information and use advanced software; proven leadership and research record on social and economic issues. |
| Key Responsibilities | Decide methods for collection, processing and dissemination of statistical data; supervise national censuses via Provincial Census Commissioners; appraise and ensure quality of national statistics; coordinate with other statistical agencies; develop analytical and research capacity; prepare annual and five-year work plans, reports and budgets; develop and promote national statistical standards. |
| Salary | Special Professional Pay Scale-II |
| Age & Term | Maximum 60 years on closing date. Term of appointment five (5) years; eligible for reappointment through competitive process. Individual will cease to hold post on completion of term or on attaining 65 years, whichever is earlier. |
