Communication & Works Department Thatta Jobs: Driver, Naib Qasid, Chowkidar and Sanitary Worker

The Office of the Superintending Engineer, Communication & Works Department, Thatta at Makli invites applications from eligible candidates holding domicile of District Thatta for initial recruitment to non-technical posts in BPS-01 to BPS-04.

All posts are based at the office of the Superintending Engineer, Communication & Works Department, Thatta, at Makli.

Application procedure: Submit the prescribed application form with two recent passport-size photographs and attested copies of educational certificates, experience certificates where applicable, CNIC, domicile and PRC. Address applications to the Superintending Engineer, Communication & Works Department, Thatta, at Makli. Applications must reach the office within 15 days of publication of the advertisement. Applications received after the closing date will not be entertained.

The application form requires the post applied for, CNIC number, applicant’s name, father’s name, date of birth, educational qualification, experience, district of domicile, postal address, cell number, applicant’s signature and date. Affix a recent passport-size photograph in the designated space.

Age relaxation and quotas: The upper age limit is subject to general relaxation of up to five years under Government of Sindh Notification No. SOII(SGA&CD)5.64/2011 (Part-II), dated 6 March 2025. Applicable quotas for persons with disabilities, women, minorities and transgender persons will be observed under prevailing Government of Sindh policies, recruitment rules and approved quota/roster arrangements.

Candidates already serving in government departments must apply through the proper channel and include departmental permission or an NOC where applicable. The competent authority may vary the number of vacancies.

Only eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview, as applicable to the post and the approved recruitment procedure. Shortlisting will be based on the prescribed eligibility criteria. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending any test or interview. Eligible candidates will be informed of the test/interview date, time and venue through newspaper advertisements.

The nature and status of appointment will be governed by the sanctioned status of the posts, the applicable Sindh Civil Servants Act, rules and government instructions. Probation, confirmation and other service conditions will be regulated by the relevant rules. The competent authority reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process or any vacancy in accordance with applicable laws and rules, without prejudice to rights protected by law.
