SZABIST University Vice President Academics Job in Karachi

SZABIST University invites applications from highly qualified and dynamic academic professionals for the position of Vice President (Academics), equivalent in institutional status and responsibilities to a Pro-Vice-Chancellor. The University seeks a distinguished academic leader with a progressive vision, proven administrative capabilities, and a strong commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation, and technological advancement.

Academic qualifications and professional standing:

• A PhD in contemporary and emerging areas of Science and Technology, including Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, Robotics, Cybersecurity, or related interdisciplinary fields, from an HEC-recognized university or an internationally recognized institution.
• At least 15 years of teaching or research experience at a recognized national or international university, including 10 years of post-PhD experience and five years as a Full Professor.
• 15 research publications, including at least five within the last five years, in HEC/PEC-recognized journals.

Administrative and leadership experience and responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the University's academic functions across its campuses under the overall direction of the President, SZABIST University.
• Possess three to five years of demonstrated academic administrative experience at a recognized university, preferably as Dean, Director (Academics), Pro-Vice-Chancellor, or in an equivalent senior academic leadership role.
• Have a proven record of curriculum development and effective academic governance, with familiarity with HEC policies, quality assurance frameworks, and national and international accreditation requirements.
• Demonstrate contributions to research development, innovation, industry-academia collaboration, and international academic partnerships.
• Have experience in strategic planning, faculty development, academic performance evaluation, and institutional improvement.
• Possess strong interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
