Karachi Scrap Transformer Disposal Tender MM-BID-SCH-001/2026-2027

A public sector organization invites sealed bids from reputable scrap merchants and recycled material management businesses registered with the Sales Tax Department for the purchase of two large scrap transformers under invitation MM-BID-SCH-001/2026-2027.

Bid submission deadline: 30 November 2026 at 10:30 hours. Bid opening: 30 November 2026 at 11:30 hours.

Bidding documents may be obtained from the office of the Head Material Management, near Javed Bahria Housing Society, opposite HASCOL Fuel Pump, Karachi-75400, between 08:30 and 16:00 hours, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The non-refundable fee is Rs. 1,000 per bidding document, payable through a pay order or bank draft in favour of “Directorate of Technical Support”. Postal orders and bank guarantees will not be accepted. Bidding MM-BID-SCH-001/26-27 will also be available on the PPRA website.

Documentary evidence of the National Tax Number and a trade certificate must accompany the bid. These documents must be placed in a separate sealed envelope, with the quotation in another envelope separately showing the GST number allotted by the Federal Board of Revenue. Both envelopes must be enclosed in a single envelope addressed to the Head Material Management. If submitting more than one bid, each quotation must be sent in a separate envelope addressed to the Head Material Management.

Government-prescribed taxes, including advance income tax, GST and other applicable taxes, will apply according to the rules. Taxes will be applied under the policies, rules and regulations in force and amendments made under Government or Army rules and policies. A copy of the relevant SRO must accompany any claim for tax exemption.

The tender will be awarded on the basis of the highest-rate quotation or quotations for the purchase of the scrap transformers. Bidding documents will not be sold on the bid-opening date. Anyone purchasing bidding documents or attending the bid opening must bring their original National Identity Card. If the scheduled date is a holiday, bids will be opened on the next working day.

For disputes arising at tender opening or during the tender proceedings, the Tender Opening Committee’s decision will be final and binding on all bidders and participants. The competent authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotations at any stage without assigning a reason.
