Kunri Land Acquisition Notice for Urban Water Supply Scheme in Deh Goraho

The Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Kunri, has issued Notice No. 523, dated 26 October 2026, under Section 9 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, concerning the acquisition of privately owned or allotted land in Deh Goraho, Taluka Kunri, District Umerkot, for water works.

The acquisition forms part of the Urban Water Supply Scheme, Kunri Taluka, District Umerkot, under ADP Scheme No. 3641 (SDG-REG: 629), for the establishment of a new Phase III and the improvement and expansion of Phase II.

Land Acquisition Schedule

All scheduled land is situated in Deh Goraho, Taluka Kunri, District Umerkot.

Appearance and Submission of Claims

All persons having an interest in or a right over the scheduled land must appear personally or through an authorized representative at the Office of the Assistant Commissioner/Land Acquisition Officer, Kunri, within 15 days of publication of the notice.

Claimants must submit a signed written statement, either personally or through their representatives, identifying the nature of their respective rights or interests in the land, the compensation claimed for those interests with relevant supporting details, and any objections concerning the measurement or area of the land being acquired.

A statement under Section 10 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, must also identify, as far as possible, every person possessing an interest in the land or any part of it, whether as a co-owner, sub-owner, mortgagee, tenant, lessee or in any other capacity. It must describe each right or interest and provide details of rent and income derived or accruing from the land during the preceding three years, where applicable.

Previous Notifications

The initial notification under Section 4 was issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Umerkot, through No. DC/UK/Insp/518/2026 dated 3 March 2026 and published in the Sindh Government Gazette on 5 March 2026. An amended/corrigendum notification under Section 4, No. DC/UK/Insp/1543 of 2026 dated 22 July 2026, was published in the Sindh Government Gazette, Part I, pages 1096–1097, on 24 July 2026.

The Commissioner, Mirpurkhas, subsequently issued a notification under Sections 6 and 17(4), bearing No. REV/820/2026 dated 1 October 2026, which was published in the Sindh Government Gazette on 15 October 2026.
