Sindh High Court Notice to Abdul Salam in Customs Reference Application No. 267 of 2024

The High Court of Sindh at Karachi has issued a publication notice in Special Customs Reference Application No. 267 of 2024, filed by Director D.G. I&I (Customs), Karachi, against Abdul Salam and another.

The notice is addressed to respondent Abdul Salam, son of Haji Muhammad Alam, CNIC No. 54201-3743331-9, resident of Mohallah New Abbasi, Chamman, District Qila Abdullah.

The applicant filed the reference application under Section 196 of the Customs Act, 1969, challenging the order dated 22 January 2024 passed by the Customs Appellate Tribunal, Bench-II, Karachi, in Customs Appeal No. K-1853/2023. The reference and applications were fixed for hearing on 28 September 2026, when the Court ordered service of notice through publication.

Abdul Salam is required to appear before the High Court of Sindh at Karachi, either personally or through a duly instructed pleader, on 11 November 2026 at 8:15 a.m. to show cause why the reference and applications should not be admitted. In the event of non-appearance, the reference and applications will be heard, admitted and decided in his absence.

The notice was issued under the hand and seal of the Court on 24 October 2026, by order of Muhammad Jameel, Assistant Registrar, ITR Branch.
