Sindh High Court Notice to Syed Hakimullah in Customs Reference Application No. 266 of 2024

The High Court of Sindh at Karachi has issued a notice in Special Customs Reference Application No. 266 of 2024, filed by Director D.G. I&I (Customs), Karachi, against Syed Hakimullah and another respondent.

The notice is addressed to Syed Hakimullah, son of Shah Dad, CNIC No. 54305-0342165-3, resident of Killi Shaghi Shangri, Tehsil Orang Zai, District Pishin.

The applicant has filed the reference application under Section 196 of the Customs Act, 1969, challenging the judgment dated 14 May 2024 passed by the Customs Appellate Tribunal, Bench-III, Karachi, in Customs Appeal No. K-529/2023.

The reference and associated applications were fixed for hearing on 1 October 2026, when the Court ordered service of notice through publication.

Syed Hakimullah is required to appear before the High Court of Sindh at Karachi, either personally or through a duly instructed pleader, on 16 November 2026 at 8:15 a.m., to show cause why the reference and applications should not be admitted. Failure to appear may result in the reference and applications being heard, admitted and decided in his absence.

The notice was issued under the hand and seal of the Court on 27 October 2026, by order of Muhammad Jameel, Assistant Registrar, ITR Branch.
