Sindh High Court Karachi Notice to Adnan in Customs Reference Application No. 431 of 2024

The High Court of Sindh at Karachi has issued a publication notice in Special Customs Reference Application No. 431 of 2024, filed by the Director, D.G. I&I (Customs), Karachi, against Adnan, son of Rasheed Khan, and another respondent.

The notice is addressed to Adnan, son of Rasheed Khan, CNIC No. 51401-3860839-1, residing at House No. H-1, Sector 10, Muhallah Bismillah Colony, Orange, Karachi.

The applicant has filed the reference application under Section 196 of the Customs Act, 1969, challenging the judgment dated 20 May 2024 passed by the Customs Appellate Tribunal, Bench III, Karachi, in Customs Appeal No. K-477/2024.

The Special Customs Reference Application and related applications were fixed for hearing on 29 September 2026, when the Court ordered service of notice through publication.

Adnan is required to appear before the High Court of Sindh at Karachi, either personally or through a duly instructed pleader, on 12 November 2026 at 08:15 a.m., to show cause why the reference and applications should not be admitted. In the event of nonappearance, the reference and applications will be heard, admitted and decided in his absence.

The notice was issued under the hand and seal of the Court on 27 October 2026, by order of Muhammad Jameel, Assistant Registrar, ITR Branch.
