University of Mianwali Teaching Jobs 2026 – Advertisement No. 09/2026

The University of Mianwali, a public-sector university established under the Government of Punjab Act (XXXI of 2019), invites applications for teaching positions through Consolidated Advertisement No. 09/2026. Pakistani nationals and applicants from AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan are eligible to apply.

The online application deadline is December 2, 2026 (Wednesday). Hard copies and supporting documents must reach the university by courier on or before December 4, 2026 (Friday).

Associate Professor Vacancies

Pay scale: BS-20. Regular age limit: 30–50 years.

Mathematics and English eligibility: A PhD in the relevant subject or an equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), together with either 10 years of teaching, research or professional experience in a postgraduate institute, an HEC-recognized university, or a national or international organization; or five years of post-PhD teaching or research experience in an HEC-recognized university or a postgraduate institute, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization. Candidates must have 10 research publications in HEC-recognized journals, including at least four publications within the last five years.

Computer Science eligibility: A PhD in Engineering, Information Technology, Computing or an equivalent degree qualification from an institute or university recognized by HEC, together with either 10 years of teaching or research experience in a postgraduate institute or an HEC-recognized university, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization; or five years of post-PhD teaching or research experience in a postgraduate institute or an HEC-recognized university, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization. Candidates must have 10 research publications in HEC-recognized journals, including at least four publications within the last five years.

Assistant Professor Vacancies

Pay scale: BS-19. Regular age limit: 25–45 years.

Assistant Professor of Law eligibility: Candidates must meet one of the following routes: a PhD in Law or an equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by HEC; an LLM, JD or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with four years of teaching or research experience in an HEC-recognized university or postgraduate institute, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization; or a first-division LLB or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized institute or university, with six years of teaching or research experience in an HEC-recognized university or postgraduate institute, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization.

Lecturer Vacancies

Pay scale: BS-18. Regular age limit: 21–35 years.

Lecturer applicants in Chemistry, Commerce, Pharmacy, Physics, English, Statistics and Education must have no third division in their academic career. A candidate holding a PhD in the relevant field may apply with no more than one third division in the entire academic career. Lecturer applicants in Computer Science, Software Engineering and Information Technology must have no third division in their academic career.

Application Fees and Submission

Apply online at https://careers.um.edu.pk on or before December 2, 2026. Deposit the applicable bank draft by the same date in favour of the Treasurer, University of Mianwali, NTN 8529251-5.

Send a hard copy of the application, photographs and attested copies of the CNIC, domicile, educational documents, transcripts, certificates and experience certificates by courier to the Office of the Registrar, University of Mianwali. The documents must arrive on or before December 4, 2026.

Applicants for Associate Professor posts C-1, C-2 and C-3 must submit three complete hard-copy sets of the application, together with a soft copy on USB or CD, by courier to the Office of the Registrar.

Applications without the full bank draft will not be entertained. The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Applicants seeking more than one post must submit a separate application, complete supporting documents and a separate bank draft for each post. Incomplete applications and applications received by courier after the due date will not be accepted.

General Instructions

Foreign degree holders must provide an equivalence certificate issued by HEC with their application. Only degrees from HEC-recognized universities or degree-awarding institutions will be considered.

Applicants employed by government, semi-government or autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel. Government servants must obtain a Departmental Permission Certificate or NOC from the competent authority of their department and submit it with the hard-copy application. Applications without the required permission certificate or NOC will be rejected.

A candidate who applies with an NOC from their parent department, institution or university and subsequently joins another department, institution or university during the recruitment process must submit a fresh NOC from the new employer; otherwise, the application will be rejected from the outset.

Candidates must provide experience certificates as documentary evidence of any experience claimed. Private-sector experience will be accepted only where the organization is registered with SECP, the Registrar of Firms or another regulatory authority.

Upper-age relaxation may be granted to suitable candidates under Government of Punjab rules. A 15% quota for women will be followed under Punjab notification No. SOR-I(S&GAD)1-15/2012 dated May 21, 2012. A 5% quota for minorities, including non-Muslims, applies against the total advertised posts under government notification No. SOR-III(S&GAD)1-35/93 dated March 27, 2010.

Quotas for persons with disabilities, minorities and women will be observed under the applicable rules. Where a disability quota does not apply to a particular employment category, the University of Mianwali's decision will govern acceptance or rejection.

Applicants whose results have not been officially announced by the Controller of Examinations of the relevant board or university on or before the closing date will not be considered. An application found incorrect at any stage may be rejected, and the candidate will be treated as ineligible under the rules.

Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview. No TA/DA will be admissible. The university will not be responsible for delayed or undelivered letters caused by courier or postal agencies, or lapses involving telephone messages.

Where required, applicable service rules, statutes, entry requirements, pay scales, government-adopted university regulations and the University Recruitment Policy will govern eligibility for advertised posts. Cases falling outside these provisions will not be included in the initial merit pool. The university reserves the right to increase the number of vacancies or withdraw them entirely without assigning a reason.
