Public Comments Invited on Booni, Dir, Timergara and Batkhela Draft Master Plans 2025–2045

The Urban Policy Unit (UPU), Planning and Development Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, invites public comments, suggestions and objections on the Draft Master Plans (2025–2045) for Booni, Dir, Timergara and Batkhela. This public notice is issued under Section 17(1) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Land Use and Building Control Act, 2021.

The Master Plan Project (MPP) of the Urban Policy Unit has prepared these plans on behalf of the Land Use and Building Control Authority (LU BCA), Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Department (LGE & RDD), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in coordination with the concerned district administrations.

The Draft Master Plans provide a comprehensive spatial development framework to guide the planned, orderly and sustainable growth of these cities over the next twenty years. Key planning proposals cover land use and zoning; housing and urban development; transportation and traffic management; water supply, sewerage and drainage; solid waste management; trade, commerce and industrial development; environmental protection and climate resilience; conservation of agricultural land, natural resources and cultural heritage; parks, open spaces and public amenities; and community facilities and urban infrastructure.

The general public, government departments, local governments, academic institutions, professional organizations, civil society organizations, development partners, the private sector and all other interested stakeholders are invited to review the Draft Master Plans and submit comments, suggestions and objections for consideration before finalization. All representations will be carefully reviewed and, where appropriate, incorporated into the revised Master Plans.

The complete Draft Master Plans (2025–2045) are available for review at www.urbanpolicyunit.gkp.pk. Comments, suggestions and objections must reach the Urban Policy Unit within fifteen (15) days of publication of this public notice.
